Minister Karen L. Reed
Founder & President
Karen L. Reed is a licensed social worker in the state of Nevada. She is a divorced mother of two adult daughters, a graduate of New Antioch’s Training Institute, an ordained minister at New Antioch Christian Fellowship, and the 2004 founder of the international ministry, Women of Excellence Living a Leadership Lifestyle (WELLL). She has also served as the president of a local community activist group, Black Educated and Professional Women, who are Energized and Ready to Roll, (BEPOWERR), since 1993.
Minister Reed is the sixth in a sibling group of eight children. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where at the age of twelve, she did as her momma told her and said Jesus was her Lord and Savior. Then she put on the white robe and got in the water baptismal pool. At the age of 21 she relocated to Las Vegas and began her educational and professional careers. She received her Associate in Business Management at Clark County Community College, her Bachelor and her Masters in Social Work at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. After spending years focusing on everything but God, and attempting to run away from God’s plan for her life, at the age of 29 she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
During the past 20 years, she’s realized that the more she learned about the depth of GOD’s love, the less she could justify her way out of things. During one of her biggest seasons of developing an “open, honest, and real relationship with GOD, she realized she couldn’t rationalize and talk her way out of everything. This is when she acknowledged that in all the degrees and intelligence, “I don’t know nothing about nothing, but I do know GOD’s the LORD of ALL Lord’s!”
Her passion is to see people break the chains off their life. The ones that kept them bent over and blinded from living dreams they never even thought possible. She is passionate about not “doing church,” simply because people are caught up in the rules instead of the relationship. Her internal goal is for people to develop a personal intimacy with GOD- to understand that He loves deep and long. As an evangelist and pastor, she is given the opportunity to walk a wealth of different life journeys with people.
She is a community motivational speaker to groups of all ages and ethnic groups. She enjoys preaching and teaching outside of the customary walls of the church and going to wherever the people gather. She has ministered in areas of children’s nursery, teen groups, church greeter, leadership, as well as local women groups dealing with homelessness, sexual abuse, domestic violence, fear, divorce, poverty, and the confines of prison.
Karen’s mission in life is to be part of the bridge for men and women, all over the world, to cross as they move from living their lives as victims, to living their lives as victors!
I Peter 2:24 says, …by His woundsyouhave been made well.
That includes YOU!
